Veteran satellite communications leader brings nearly 30 years of military and government experience to expand CodeMettle's relationships across key defense markets.
ATLANTA, Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- CodeMettle today announced the appointment of Kimberly Morris as Vice President for U.S. Space Force (USSF), U.S. Navy (USN), U.S. Marine Corps (USMC), and other Defense Agency programs. In this role, Morris will build long-term strategic relationships with defense partners, identify emerging mission requirements, and help align CodeMettle's technology and growth strategy with the evolving needs of the warfighter.

With nearly 30 years of experience in satellite communications, Morris brings extensive military and civilian government experience to CodeMettle. She served 20 years as a Marine Corps Communications Officer specializing in satellite communications before continuing her career as a civilian employee with the Navy.
"Building trusted relationships with our defense partners is central to creating long-term value for CodeMettle," said Morris. "I look forward to deepening those partnerships, understanding their challenges, and working with CodeMettle's leadership to build strategic paths that address their needs. After almost 30 years in satellite communications, I'm seeing a fundamental shift in how warfighters approach their communications architectures. That shift aligns extremely well with what CodeMettle is building, and I wanted to be part of that effort."
Morris was first introduced to CodeMettle years ago while serving as Deputy of the U.S. Navy Space Department at Navy Network Warfare Command. While initiating a project, she encountered CodeMettle through one of the company's partnerships. Although the project ultimately did not move forward because of funding and timing, Morris says she never forgot the quality of CodeMettle's products or its people.
"Bringing Kimberley onto the team is a big step forward in our mission to simplify the complex realities of the tactical edge," said Mike Mostow, COO at CodeMettle. "The modern defense environment demands relentless innovation and deeply specialized, resilient NetOps capabilities. By expanding our leadership, we aren't just positioning ourselves to better serve our defense customers and warfighters out-of-the-box; we are ensuring CodeMettle continues to drive the essential thought leadership required to shape the future of mission tactical networks and command and control architectures."
Throughout her career, Morris has focused on developing communications architectures designed to operate in complex and dynamic environments. During her time with the Navy, she developed a satellite communications architecture that provided the Fleet with more resilient and agile communications capabilities. The experience gave her direct insight into the impact those technologies could have on operational users and reinforced her belief that network resiliency and agility will become increasingly important as defense organizations adopt hybrid communications architectures.
"Enabling the warfighter to dynamically leverage hybrid architectures will be critical to our national defense," said Morris. "The technology continues to evolve, but the mission remains the same: give the warfighter the capabilities needed to complete the mission and get home safely. What I love most about this work, though, is the people. The satellite communications community is relatively small and filled with people focused on solving difficult problems. I love learning about new concepts and technologies and thinking together about how we can use them to build better solutions. It all starts and ends with people."
Morris' interest in the intersection of technology, space, and military service began early. After seeing the original Star Wars at seven years old and growing up as the daughter of an Army officer, she found herself drawn to combining those worlds. That interest ultimately led to a career spanning military service, satellite communications, network architecture, and defense technology.
"I still feel like I am a defender of the Republic, just with high-tech asymmetric capabilities," said Morris. "That sense of mission is what continues to inspire me."
Outside of work, Morris enjoys sailing and flying. She holds a sailing certification and spends as much time on the water as possible. She is also working toward earning her Private Pilot Certificate.
