PITTSBURGH, Feb. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- "I wanted to create a way to ensure that drivers are aware of the working condition of their rear lights while traveling," said an inventor, from Lakeland, Fla., "so I invented the B- L- I- S. My design could help prevent rear-end collisions caused by drivers being unaware of rear burned-out lights."
The patent-pending invention provides an effective way to warn a motorist if their rear lights are burned-out. In doing so, it prevents the driver from being unaware of a burned-out rear taillight or brake light while traveling. As a result, it allows the driver to recognize and correct the problem in a timely fashion. Thus, it increases safety. The invention features an automatic design that is easy to use so it is ideal for manufacturers and owners of new-production motor vehicles. Additionally, a prototype model and technical drawings are available upon request.
The original design was submitted to the Tallahassee sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
