This event will feature worship music, scripture readings, verse-by-by verse expositional preaching, communion, and a dedicated kids ministry, providing a glimpse into the vision and mission of this new congregation. Two weeks later, the church will officially start weekly services on September 7 at the same time and location.
Over the past spring and summer, the church's core team has been regularly meeting for Bible study and prayer, laying the foundation for a community that prioritizes faith in Jesus and serving others. This has included volunteering for concerts at the North Star Theatre, providing care packages to hospital workers, and organizing events like their streetwide Easter Egg Hunt, which brought families together for a trick-or-treat style stroll down Lamarque Street as neighbors coordinated hiding eggs in their yards together.
