Tony Robbins, world-renowned peak performance coach and longtime advocate for human health and vitality, has been selected to serve on the newly established Healthcare Advisory Committee created by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The Committee was announced on March 26, marking a significant milestone in the Administration’s effort to transform how healthcare is delivered and financed in America.

From a field of 400 nominees, Robbins was chosen alongside 17 other panel members. This distinguished group of physicians, attorneys, policy experts, and innovators will serve for two years, advising HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz. Their work will focus on improving the way care is funded and delivered through Medicaid, Medicare, the Health Insurance Marketplace, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program. Robbins’ appointment is a testament to his depth of influence and credibility in health, wellness, and human performance.

Robbins, who has nearly five decades of experience as a personal coach advising four U.S. presidents and athletes like Serena Williams and Andre Agassi, is committed to leveraging his expertise to improve the nation’s deepening mental health crisis. Robbins said, “I am truly grateful for the opportunity to contribute alongside leaders from across the healthcare system, supporting efforts to address the mental health challenges facing our nation, especially among young people.”

According to a 2025 report from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health,1 more than 1 in 10 adults and 1 in 7 young adults reported experiencing a mental health crisis in the previous year.

Robbins’ appointment to the committee signals a broader vision for American healthcare, one that goes beyond treating illness to fostering a culture of prevention, personal responsibility, and lasting well-being. In Kennedy Jr.’s words, the aim is to shift U.S. healthcare from a “sick care system to a true health care system.”

Robbins’ work empowering millions of individuals worldwide aligns directly with the Committee’s mission to help people take charge of their physical and mental health. “This effort is focused on advancing practical, real-world solutions that strengthen care and transcend politics,” said Robbins.

Robbins is well known for his popular personal development seminars, which help people close the gap between where they are and where they want to be. The transformational power of his principles has been affirmed by the Snyder Lab of Genetics at Stanford University, which measured a marked reduction of negative emotions, such as loneliness, sadness, and anger, as people internalize Robbins’ teachings.

In nearly five decades, Robbins has empowered more than 100 million people from 100 countries around the world through his audio programs, educational videos, and live seminars. He has authored nine international bestsellers covering topics from personal development to innovative health breakthroughs. To learn more about Robbins, visit TonyRobbins.com.
